Heartworm Season Approaches

To look outside right now, it is hard to believe that spring and summer are on their way!

This means that Heartworm season is quickly approaching. The period between April and June, is when all veterinary clinics begin testing dogs and cats for heartworm disease.

Where does heartworm disease come from? Very simple. A bite from an infected mosquito.

Heartworm disease is a serious disease.

Our veterinarians can help your pet avoid this risk with a variety of products that are available. A good majority of these products will also reduce the risk of flea infestation and  numerous other skin and internal parasite problems.

Please note that OVMA regulations require MANDATORY heartworm testing prior to the dispensing of any heartworm medication.

Nobleton Vet Clinic is happy to offer free Heartworm testing with all Wellness blood testing.

We know how important it is for you and your pet to feel safe while enjoying the outdoors.

Please book your pet’s heartworm test today. Let us help you get the best protection for your beloved four-legged family member.
